Cholester-Right is a 100% vegan Food supplement intended to nutritionally support the body in balancing cholesterol levels. Cholester-Right contains some Foods which can be a better alternative than some fish oil supplements. Unlike certain damaging cholesterol drugs, some of the Foods even help reverse damage to the body.
What about drugs?
Here is one view on cholesterol lowering statin drugs from a medical doctor: "The statin drugs" claim to fame is that they lower cholesterol. But what is the true risk of high cholesterol? The Multiple Risk Factor Intervention Trial (MRFIT), one of the most definitive studies on risk factors for heart disease, showed that elevated cholesterol (along with high blood pressure and smoking) increased risk of heart attack and death from cardiovascular disease. Individuals with cholesterol levels of 275 or higher had a greater risk of death (1.3 percent) than those with levels of 150 or less (.3 percent). What this really means is that for every 100 people in each group, one more person in the high-cholesterol group would die from heart disease than the low-cholesterol group"To save ten people in the high-cholesterol group compared to the low cholesterol group, you would have to treat 1,000 people with drugs with known toxic side effects that increase death from other causes. Is this good medicine? No, it"s insanity"These drugs may reduce numbers of death from heart attack and other cardiovascular events, but the risk of death from other causes goes up, canceling out any survival benefit" Statins have also been linked to increased risk of kidney disease, immune system suppression, memory loss, and cancer " .
Another medical doctor has written, "Cholesterol is one type of body fat. The enzyme in the liver that makes sugar into cholesterol turns up its activity when insulin levels rise. Insulin levels rise following carbohydrate meals or excess mental stress (among other promoters)"Statin drugs work, in part, because they poison this liver enzyme"s ability to listen to the insulin message. The trouble with poisons concerns their inevitable side effect and toxicities" .
Cholester-Right is not a drug, it is a 100% vegan supplement containing the following Foods:
Apple PectinMalus domestica is used "as a nutritional supplement for the management of elevated cholesterol"Pectin appears to have hypocholesterolemic effects"Numerous studies have demonstrated that pectin has favorable effects on lipids" .
Brown Kelp is a Food source of trace minerals, and an excellent source of iodine . Kelp has long been used (since 3000 B.C.) to provide nutritional support for the thyroid gland [5-6]. Nutritionally supporting the thyroid gland can be helpful for some cholesterol and triglyceride situations .
Citrus Bioflavonoids Citrus sinensis the full complement of bioflavonoids that nature provides. Unlike some ascorbic acid formulas which may contain some of them, citrus contains the full variety of truly organic bioflavonoids including flavanone glycosides, naringin, neorioctrin, neohesperidin, hesperiden, flavone glycosides, rhoifolin, luteolin, neodiosnin, flavon aglycones, tetra-o-methylisoscutellaren, sinensetin, isosinensetin, tangeritin, nobiletin, 5-0-desmethylnobiletin. Certain bioflavonoids are believed to have "positive lipid effects" .
Chirayata LeafAndrographic paniculata has the ability to reduce triglycerides and had antidiabetic effects . It also has been shown to help protect the liver. Furthermore, Andrographic paniculata (APN) "can alleviate atherosclerotic artery stenosis induced by both deendothelialization and HCD as well as lower restenosis rate after experimental angioplasty. The effects of APN are evidently superior to those of FO" (fish oil).
Garlic Bulb Allium sativa "has been recommended for use primarily as a hypolipidemic and antihypertensive agent but also has found use as an antineoplastic. Garlic preparations are used to positively affect blood lipids, fibrinolytic activity, low-density lipoprotein oxidation, blood pressure, and to prevent and treat cardiovascular disease"Garlic tablets studied in vitro were found to enhance natural killer cells, which are an important part of the immune system" .
Ginger Root Zingiber officinalis has been found to have antilipid and cardiotonic effects .
Guar gum seed is extracted from locust beans. It improves "tolerance to glucose by decreasing absorption" and has a demonstrated lipid lowering effect .
Guggul Gum Commiphora mukul is a type of myrrh extract. "Guggulipid has been reported to lower the concentration of total serum lipids, serum cholesterol, serum triglycerides, serum phospholipids and betalipids" . The guggul gum in Cholester-Right contains 2.5% guggulsterones, which appears to be the proper level for many of its benefits.
Hawthorn Berry " [d]ilates the coronary blood vessels, lowers cholesterol levels, and restores heart muscles, [i]ncreases intracellular vitamin C levels", and is [u]seful for anemia, cardiovascular and circulatory disorders, high cholesterol, and lowered immunity" .
Oat Beta-Glucan Fiber Avena sativa "may have hypocholesteric and glucose regulating activity"It appears to promote excretion of bile acids, which could explain, in large part, its possible cholesterol lowering activity. Oat beta-glucan may also promote cholesterol clearance from the plasma via reverse cholesterol transport"Evidence that oat-beta glucan can reduce cholesterol levels was sufficient to induce the FDA to allow health claims on whole oat products" .
Policosanol is an amazingly effective substance when it comes to cholesterol management, including raising HDL. The policosanol in Cholester-Right comes from two sources: rice bran and sugar cane. "Policosanol may be indicated for reducing cholesterol levels. There is preliminary evidence that it can reduce platelet aggregation in both healthy and hypercholesteremic individuals and that it may be of benefit in individuals with intermittent claudication" .
Pomegranates have been getting scientific attention for their ability to prevent damage associated with excess accumulation of cholesterol. One recent study reported, "Macrophage cholesterol accumulation and foam cell formation are the hallmarks of early atherogenesis. Pomegranate juice (PJ) was shown to inhibit macrophage foam cell formation and development of atherosclerotic lesions" .
Rice bran is a Food source of B vitamins . It is also a source of about " of the policosanol in Cholester-Right.
Turmeric Root Curcuma domestica is indigenous to India. "Turmeric has antihepatoxic, antihyperlipidemic, antithrombic, and anti-inflammatory effects. It is also antioxidative" .
Vitamin C has long been used for cholesterol and other lipid concerns . Cholester-Right contains Food vitamin C.
For cholesterol concerns, Cholester-Right is the first choice for doctors interested in 100% Food support.
Unlike many so-called "natural" formulas, Cholester-Right is only comprised of foods or food extracts, contains no synthetic USP nutrients or isolated mineral salts, but only contains foods, food complexes, and food concentrates. Food nutrients are better because they contain important enzymes, peptides, and phyonutrients CRITICAL to the UTLIZATION of vitamins and minerals which are not present in isolated USP nutrients. Published research has specifically concluded that food vitamins are superior to synthetic/USP vitamins.
Suggested use: 1-4 tablets per day or as recommended by your health care professional. Adjust usage according to nutritional lifestyle requirements.
